Help for Ovens

Our oven story so far...

Our two commercial ovens are used for weekly challah baking, hamentashen, latkes, Pesach, b'nei mitzvah kiddishes, and countless other events.

In January 2026, they started breaking down. Three different oven repair companies assessed what it would take to fix them. Alas, the parts needed to repair our 40+ year old ovens are no longer manufactured. One oven repair company found a work-around to keep them both functioning for now... but the consensus is that we need to replace our ovens, which is estimated to be an expense of about $20,000.

Congregation Albert's Sisterhood has now stepped in with a very generous offer to match all donations for our ovens- donations already made since January, and donations to come. Their generosity is a HUGE help, which allows us to preserve Atid and Building Fund moneys for larger projects and undertakings to see Congregation Albert well into the future. Because of Sisterhood's generosity, we now have a goal of $10,000 towards replacement of our ovens, which would have cost us $20,000!
