Religious School

Congregation Albert’s mission includes a commitment to the education and mentorship of Jewish children and their families to enable them to celebrate and observe Judaism. We strive to ensure the continuity of the Jewish people l’dor v’dor (from generation to generation) as we teach our students the importance of God and Torah as well as Jewish religious practice and prayers, holidays and customs, history and the language of our people as expressed in prayer and Torah. We encourage and cultivate a lifelong Jewish culture of philanthropy and respect for others that will foster an awareness of the fact that we are created b’zelem Elohim (in the image of God).

Jewish learning takes place in a variety of settings. The classroom is only one aspect of what it means to be a part of our school. We also strive to help our students interact with one another in a variety of fun and challenging settings. In this way we promote the values of “connectedness” and “community” among Jews.
