A Look at Congregation Albert's Buildings

When Congregation Albert was founded on September 26, 1897, the temple members met in the Knights of Pythias Hall in the 100 block of West Gold Avenue.

Congregation Albert built its first building on the northeast corner of 7th and Gold in Downtown Albuquerque. The building was completed in April, 1900.

In 1951, Congregation Albert moved to Lead Avenue between Oak and Mulberry Avenues, moving North and East in parallel with the population growth of Albuquerque.

In 1984, Congregation Albert moved to its current home on Louisiana Boulevard, just south of Montgomery in the Northeast Heights. The original building now houses the Religious school and offices. An addition in 1987 completed the building with a new Sanctuary and Social Hall.
