We're going to "shtick" it to you with two great local stand-up comics, Roger C. Blair and Goldie Garcia. Goldie, a well-known trailblazer of comedy in New Mexico, has toured the southwest extensively and opened for Paul Rodriguez. She is a former Albuquerque Tribune columnist and an accomplished visual artist. Roger, a southwestern style Borscht Belt comic, will get you laughing with his take on the lighter side of having grown up as a modern Chicano in Albuquerque and northern New Mexico. Awarded the New Mexico Hispano Entertainer's Association People's Choice Award for Comedian of the Year 2001, Roger has performed throughout the Southwest and at the Improv Club and Comedy Store in Hollywood. He recently appeared on NBC-TV's The Last Comic Standing. Special guest Ronn Perea will be the emcee.
Brunch will be served in the Social Hall at 10:00 am, followed by the program. The cost is $7 for Brotherhood and Sisterhood members and $9 for others.
