From The Office

Thanks to Sisterhood's most recent generous gift, a new easel and projection screen are available for congregant use for meetings and classes at Temple. Once again we are reminded of their extreme generosity in providing us with items that our operating budget cannot always afford.

How do Tributes work? We request a five dollar minimum to make a Tribute. If you indicate that you wish us to list your contribution, it will appear in the bulletin. If we receive your tribute by the 20th of the month, it will be published two months later, not the month immediately following, i.e. tributes received by December 20 will appear in the February bulletin. Those received after December 20 will appear in March. Our agreements with our printer require a full month lead time; processing tributes requires special record keeping before we can compile the final list.

Updates and Changes Remember to check www.congregationalbert.org for updates. The website provides news of date or time changes.

Check your new Directory and let the office know of any errors or additions.

Update: Trip to Israel, July 5-16, 2006

There will be a meeting Thursday, January 26, at the Temple, for our group of 30, as well as anyone else who is still interested. Reservations cannot be guaranteed after January 15, 2006 since seats on planes and hotel space will be at a premium this summer. The price of $2789, double occupancy, plus departure taxes and surcharges, covers touring in several cities, many meals, and of course the guidance of our own Rabbi along with professional tour guides in Israel. There are significant discounts available for parents sharing rooms with children, especially those of bar or bat mitzvah age.

The opportunity to travel with your own congregation and Rabbi makes this trip unique and not to be missed; if you have been considering this trip, call the Temple or go to the website for details as soon as possible to make it a reality.

This is an easy way to meet other families, and to integrate comfortably into Temple life. Services and the meal are informal. We encourage you to bring your own food if you prefer, but please RSVP so that we set up enough tables and have supplies for the projects. Please, in either case, bring a dessert to share and place it in the kitchen when you arrive. Three percent of our proceeds go to MAZON, a Jewish response to hunger. Share your Shabbat with your fellow congregants in this familiar setting, support our family programs, and make a contribution to an important cause. We look forward to seeing you January 20.
