"Out of this World: Mars, Titan and Beyond"

We are all living witnesses to an historic age of discovery involving space exploration. In recent years the orbiting Hubble Telescope has revealed breathtaking images of the universe from deep time and space. The Mars Exploration Rovers have greatly exceeded expectations in having probed the Martian surface for more than a year. The alien landscape of Titan, one of Saturn's moons, was recently unveiled by the Cassini-Huygens' probe after a seven-year journey. Landmark science projects are being planned that include permanent space stations, manned moon bases, and a collision between a rocket and a comet. The future is now.

Join us on May 16th as we discuss recent breakthroughs, achievements, and the future of space exploration with Larry Crumpler, Ph.D. Dr. Crumpler is a Research Curator of Volcanology and Space Science at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science. He is also the only New Mexico scientist serving as a member on the Mars Exploration Rover Mission Science Team. The program begins with brunch at 10:00 a.m. in the Social Hall of Congregation Albert. The cost is $7 for Brotherhood and Sisterhood members and $9 for others. Seating for the brunch, which is open to the public, is limited. Reservations should be made no later than May 12th by calling 883-1818 ext. 3203.

As we near the end of our programming year, CAB wishes to thank the Congregation for its support for our events. Based on your turnout, we got the distinct impression you like what we're doing.  Your support this year will continue to enable us to donate to Congregational and other community service organizations.  Suggestions and participation are always welcome and we look forward to your patronage and help for our efforts in the coming year.
