Bat Mitzvah - April 2005

April 9

Shalom. My name is Brittany Marcus. I am currently a seventh grader at Desert Ridge Middle School. I participate in Congregation Albert Student Theatre and enjoy horseback riding, drumming and being with friends. For my Mitzvah project I created and organized a Sunday School Book Buddy Program. Please join me and my parents, Barbara and Jeffrey Marcus, as I am called to the Torah as a Bat Mitzvah on April 9, 2005.

April 16

Shalom. My name is Elyssa Jane Fein and I am a seventh grader at Los Lunas Middle School. My hobbies include music, talking on the phone, baseball games and hanging out with my friends. For my Mitzvah project, I am helping at a daycare center in Los Lunas and volunteer as a Madrakhim for Religious School on Sundays. When I am older, I would like to become an author and hope many children will read my books. Please join me and my parents, Stuart and Deborah Fein, and my brother, Louis, as I am called to the Torah as a Bat Mitzvah on April 16, 2005.

Mitzvah Project in our Community

B'nai Mitzvah, Brittany Marcus, has been working very hard on her mitzvah project. She calls her project "Book Buddies" and in coordination with Robin Pence, Religious School 2nd Grade Teacher, she is seeing her project come to life. On February 27th, 5th and 6th grade students took time to read to the 1st and 2nd graders in our Religious School.

We congratulate Brittany with a hearty Mazel Tov as well as a special Todah Rabah to Robin Pence.
