General Announcements - March 2005
Sponsoring an Oneg serves many purposes. It helps in our desire to socialize with one another following an evening of spiritual renewal. Jews are known for noshing and talking, usually at the same time! It's an opportunity to share the joy of a special mitzvah a birthday, an anniversary, a bar or bat mitzvah, a graduation, a confirmation, recovery from illness, a you get the point. Sponsoring an Oneg is something each family can and should do from time to time. We all have events in our lives worth sharing with one another. The Mitzvah of Sponsoring an Oneg Shabbat
What's involved? Nothing more than providing a selection of cakes, cookies, and/or fruit, including a few sugarless items, on your chosen Friday. The office can assist in letting you know how many people to plan for.
Won't you share your next celebration with your Congregation Albert family? What special event is on your calendar? Plan ahead. Call the office to pick a date and sponsor an Oneg Shabbat today.
