The "Who, What, and Why" of Congregation Albert Sisterhood

WHO are the women of Sisterhood?

This is NOT your grandmother's Sisterhood! Our members are young, old, and in-between. We are mothers, daughters, aunts, wives, sisters, and friends. Some of us work outside the home and some of us work in the home. The common thread that binds us together is the desire to serve our congregation and community, and our support of opportunities for service, learning, and spiritual growth.

WHAT is WRJ and Sisterhood?

Sisterhood is affiliated with the Women of Reform Judaism, a federation of more than 600 Sisterhoods with 100,000 members throughout the U.S. and overseas. We are an organization of women who band together in friendship for programs to benefit the Temple, for study, for social activities, for service to the Union of Reform Judaism, and to make a difference through our Social Action projects.

WHY should I join Sisterhood?

Sisterhood needs the support of all the women of Congregation Albert. Whether or not you have extra time to devote to an organization, and whether or not you enjoy all of Sisterhood's activities or projects - we need you! When you join, our collective voice and presence in our congregation is made stronger! Join Sisterhood today!

We hope to see you on November 18 at 11:45 for luncheon and a review of The Clovis Incident by author Pari Noskin-Taichert. Please note: when you make a luncheon reservation, Sisterhood has to pay the caterer for the total number of attendees, whether or not you actually show up. Please be a mensch and honor your reservation. If you cannot attend for some reason, we would appreciate payment for the reservation you made. Thank you.

Shalom

Linda Hayon and Marina Rabinowitz, co-presidents
