Election Post Mortem
Nov. 21 Brotherhood Brunch

If the standing-room-only Wilson-Romero debate whetted your appetite for the political races, then come to our equally popular November election wrap-up program featuring local media personalities and political analyst...read on...

Why did citizens in New Mexico and throughout the rest of the country vote as they did in the general election? What were the trigger issues and what were the demographics of the voters who focused on them? What were the major mis-steps by the candidates, and what were the moments of genuine connection? More importantly, how does all this bode for the country, and in what direction are we, as a nation, headed?

Three keen observers of the local and national political scenes will once again provide an Election Post Mortem during the November 21 brunch sponsored by the Congregation Albert Brotherhood. Joining us for what has proven in the past to be an extremely popular program, will be KRQE-TV news anchor Dick Knipfing, Albuquerque Journal editor Kent Walz, and local pollster and public opinion guru Brian Sanderoff, president of Research and Polling, Inc.

The brunch begins at 10 a.m. in the social hall of Congregation Albert (3800 Louisiana NE). It is open to the public. The cost is $6 for Brotherhood members and $8 for all others. Reservations should be made no later than November 18 by calling the CAB Response Line at 883-1818, ext. 3203, and leaving your name, telephone number, and the number of people for whom reservations are being made. Reservations can also be made with members of the CAB Calling Committee, who will phone those people on the call lists the week prior to the brunch.

The flyer and reservation form for our outstanding Chanukah Latke dinner (December 10) is included in this month's Bulletin. Pre-paid reservations (via check or credit card) will be taken for the first 200 people through December 1.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Sincerely,

Congregation Albert's "Brothers-in-the-Hood"
