From the Administrator - August 2004
Shalom. What an exciting summer this has been for our congregation. Cantor Barbara R. Finn has joined our clergy staff. We have hired two new employees in the office: Paula Hollinger, Clergy Secretary, and Elizabeth Cleland, who will be supporting the Education office, special events, the bulletin and grounds.Although I was assured by former Temple Administrator, Judy Weinstein, that summertime is quiet at the temple, this year we have moved the entire office, including the Rabbi's and the Cantor's offices to the school wing. This was no small task! Staff members have been real troopers, and temple operations have been as smooth as they can be under these temporary working conditions. We hope to be enjoying our newly renovated offices by mid August.
Simultaneously, the Kalmus Lounge is under construction. Here you will be able to schmooze with your friends, meet new people, read your newspaper, have a cup of coffee, and other sociable activities. The floor has been poured, the steel is going up, and the water and sewer lines have been installed. Son we will see solid walls, paint, and carpeting.
On behalf of the entire staff, I invite you to come to the temple to introduce yourselves to our new staff members, and admire our renovations.
