Sisterhood News - December 2003
Sisterhood News
Two weeks ago, Sisterhood members enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of lunch and music with our special guest, Joan Zucker, principal cellist with the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra. Thanks to everyone who helped with this great program.Coming up on December 11, we are invited to Congregation B'nai Israel as guests of their Sisterhood for our annual joint luncheon. Plans include a fashion show of beautiful casual clothing from Sportz Outdoors. Call Arlene Paglia to reserve your front-row seat.
All Congregation Albert Sisterhood members are invited, and it's B'nai's treat!
Next month, we will cohost the first in a series of three discussionsa joint effort of Sisterhood, Brotherhood, and the Education Committee. The topic for this January 11 brunch is "Modern Plagues." Plan to join us for this exploration of the current and compelling medical issues that we all face.
Mazel tov to Marcia Rosenstein, who was installed as a National Board member of Women of Reform Judaism at the recent UAHC Biennial in Minneapolis. We are fortunate to have Marcia as our voice and our representative on a national level.
As the weather gets colder and the days are shorter, don't hibernate! Join us at a Sisterhood function, and share the joy that comes from service to our Sisterhood and our congregation.
Wishing everyone safe and happy holidays!
B'shalom,
Linda Hayon and Lori Liebman, Co-Presidents
