Sisterhood News - August 2003
Sisterhood News
Sisterhood's rummage sale was a huge success and brought in hundreds of bargain-hunters from the community - and approximately $6500! The event never would have happened without the work of an incredible committee: Arlene Paglia, Diana Paul, Linda Jones, Toby Fedoravicius and many other hard-working volunteers who sorted, priced, schlepped, took money, sold and packed. Thanks to an amazing team!
Sisterhood's first program for 2003-2004 is scheduled for Thursday, September 11, 2003 at 11:30 a.m. Rabbi Gershon Winkler from The Walking Stick Foundation will be speaking to the Sisterhood on the topic of Jewish humor, folklore, and Yiddishkeit. To reserve your space, please call Arlene Paglia.
With the start of the school year rapidly approaching, consider contributing to the Social Action Committee's effort to provide school supplies to students in need at Dolores Gonzales Elementary School. If you purchase school supplies for your own children, buy extra and drop them in the donation box in the temple foyer.
Finally, we extend an invitation to all Sisterhood members to become more involved. Give us a call and let us inform you of the many ways you can actively participate in this dynamic group.
B'shalom,
Co-Presidents Linda Hayon and Lori Liebman
