Brotherhood/Sisterhood Breakfast - April 2001

Joint Brotherhood/Sisterhood Breakfast

Sunday, April 22, 2001 at 10:00 a.m.
in the Social Hall at Congregation Albert

"Shakespeare and The Jews"

What are the issues in staging plays like Shakespeare's Merchant of Venice and Marlowe's Jew of Malta in a post-Holocaust world? How prevalent was anti-Semitism in Elizabethan society? Please join us for our April program as Dr. Sheri Metzger leads a lively discussion on these and other related topics.

Dr. Metzger is a member of Congregation Albert and an Adjunct Professor with the Department of English Language and Literature at UNM. She also teaches a course on the Holocaust.

The Brotherhood / Sisterhood brunch is open to the public. The cost is $6 for Brotherhood and Sisterhood members and their guests, and $8 for all others.

If you have not received a phone call or E-mail by Wednesday, April 18 to take a reservation for the brunch, please call Brotherhood President Shelly Liebman at 332-1281. You can also reserve space by sending an E-mail message to: Brotherhood@CongregationAlbert.org.

Please plan to join us.
