Resolutions passed (October & November):
Golf Tournament: this year as a joint fundraiser with the JCC
Child sexual abuse: a policy designed to protect our children and congregation from abuse by staff members - provides for screening and a code of conduct.
Burial Arrangements: A process allowing paperwork to be completed off-site and conveyed to Fairview Cemetery.
Long Range Planning: a final report is received and referrals of the recommendations are made to committees to prepare action plans.
Resolutions of Appreciation: October minutes give special recognition to all the actors in the inspiring S'lichot play: The Gates are Closing".
A Thank you to:
Nimi Rosenberg for directing the play and leading the Yom Kippur afternoon discussion.
The following for High Holy Days work: Judy Weinstein, Yvonne Scott, Sally Greenbaum for arrangements!
Zamir for enriching our prayers with music.
Julia and Geoffrey Kalmus for hosting the Rosh Hashanah Oneg.
Brotherhood and Sisterhood for providing the Yom Kippur Break the Fast.
Noel Kopald for organizing the ushering of services.
Merle Sanders and Yad b'Yad for childcare arrangements.
Carol Spitz and Linda Sandstrom for providing great baked goods at the Oneg on the second day of Rosh Hashanah service.
We commend TASTY and their social action chair, Zoe Myers, and advisor Robin Sena for, once again, organizing our successful Yom Kippur food drive. We are proud of them for encouraging and enabling all of us to perform the mitzvah of overflowing the JFS Food Bank.

Toby Grossman for a wonderful job of pulling together the two-year Long Range Planning process, which included many meetings and the final report.
The committee for months of work and meaningful results. Lew Barsky for his expertise in facilitating the process.
Judy Mindlin, Julia Kalmus and all those who worked with them for their hard work on the Book Fair, a fabulously successful fundraiser.
