Brotherhood Activities - March 2000
No Breakfast in March
There will be no Brotherhood Breakfast in March. Instead, we will be providing food for the "Purimillennium" Purim Carnival on Sunday, March 19.
Our next breakfast will be the joint Brotherhood/Sisterhood Breakfast on Sunday, April 9, 2000.
Our own Werner Gellert will be speaking about his efforts to establish the New Mexico Holocaust and Intolerance Museum & Study Center. Please join us for this important program.
Join Us to See the Scorpions and the Slam
Brotherhood is sponsoring trips to see Albuquerque's professional sports teams on March 12, 2000 (Scorpions) and April 2, 2000 (Slam). (For Details or to Order Tickets, Please See Our Flyer in this Bulletin)
CAB Softball Team
After three very frustrating years in the City of Albuquerque's Church League, the CAB Softball Team is at a crossroads. Since we can't compete at the level of the city league, we have two choices - go back to our previous league which plays on Sunday afternoons or stop playing altogether.
If you are interested in playing with us on Sundays, please Email Brotherhood President Shelly Liebman at Brotherhood_at_ca as soon as possible. We need at least 15 people if we expect to field a team each week. The good news is that the Sunday afternoon league costs less, so the fee for each team member will go down. There are already a half dozen people interested, so we are well on our way.
Ping-Pong Tournament
Are you a ping-pong player? We're going to try something new this year: We are organizing a ping-pong tournament for Sunday, June 4. We need tables, judges, and, of course, participants. If you are interested in playing or can help in any way, please please Email Brotherhood President Shelly Liebman at Brotherhood_at_ca. Depending upon the number of people we get, we'll set up separate draws by age and/or by ability.
