Books, Books, Books!

Our Annual Book Fair in November was a great success! We made a profit of nearly $1300, which, at an average cost of $25 per new book, will allow us to buy approximately 50 new books for the library!

Watch for the library cart in the foyer on Shabbat evenings. Library volunteers will load it up with new and interesting books for members to check out on the spot!

Mark your calendar for Wednesday, April 5, 2000 from 9:30-11:30 am, when Betty Rom will offer a book repair workshop. The techniques she teaches are applicable to your private collection as well as library books, so everyone is invited. Please bring a book or two that needs repair, scissors and exacto knives, if you have them. While there is no fee for this workshop, donations to replenish the supplies we use will be gladly accepted. This workshop will be a good chance to repair your haggadot before spending money for new ones when you do your Pesach shopping! RSVP to Judie Ning at j2shorning@aol.com if you plan to attend.
