Bulletin Guidelines -
March 2000
GUIDELINES FOR
SUBMITTING ARTICLES TO THE BULLETIN
Each month, a talented group of people
devote their time and energy to publishing the CONGREGATION
ALBERT BULLETIN. Because this bulletin is such an
important communication vehicle for the congregation, this
committee feels strongly about making it a quality publication.
In order to maintain this quality and make sure it is mailed on
time, we felt it was necessary to create some guidelines to
follow when submitting articles, or notices.
The guidelines are as follows:
- ALL SUBMISSIONS must
be submitted to Judy Weinstein, or Yvonne Scott by the
1st of the month prior to that month's publication.
Example: An article for the May Bulletin must be
submitted by April 1st. Submissions must be by email to Admin_at_ca or on disk.
- If you are submitting an ARTICLE,
it must be 250 words or less, and is subject to approval
and editing by the committee.
- COMMUNITY CALENDAR items must
be relevant to the Jewish community and must be
non-repeatable events. (Not every item will be published,
however someone will notify you if it is not.)
- GRAPEVINE notifications and
activities involving Congregation members should be sent
to Annie Furie by email: annie@growinglife.com.
- B'NAI MITZVAH
announcements need to be submitted to Yvonne Scott by the
1st of the month prior to the Bulletin publication.
Please include 2 copies of the picture and a short
biographical paragraph. One copy will be submitted to the
LINK.
- The "BACKPAGE" is
reserved for special activities, speakers and events. If
you wish to reserve this space, you must see Yvonne Scott
and submit your idea for approval by the Bulletin
Committee.
- All FLYERS must include a
coupon, i.e for reservations or to purchase tickets. Each
announcement will be reduced to fit 1/2 of an 8 1/2 X 11
page. All flyers must be submitted by disk, or email (Admin@CongregationA1bert.org) and a hardcopy given to Yvonne Scott.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are
unsure about the word processing or publishing program you are
using, please contact Yvonne to discuss how to submit material on
disk and/or by email. Photographs can be scanned and color photos
are preferred.
The Bulletin Committee thanks you for your
understanding and support of this effort. If you have any
suggestions, comments or concerns please let Yvonne Scott, or
myself know.
