Sisterhood News - May 1999

It is hard to believe that the Sisterhood year is almost over. We hope that you will all come to the Installation of our new officers on Friday, May 14th Our committees have been busy meeting to formulate exciting plans for the coming year.

We hope that you will be interested in our membership special. You can join Sisterhood now for only $30 and your membership will cover the rest of this year, plus all of next year. To take advantage of this offer, send your check to Lydia Horowitz c/o the temple.

There is still time to join us for our Donor Brunch on May 13th at the Albuquerque Country Club. For a reservation, just call Jane Thompson or Fran Liberman.

We hope that you will save your rummage for our "Trash to Treasurers" sale on June 13th Linda Jones will be happy to hear from you with your donations. We also need volunteers to work a three-hour shift during the rummage weekend of June 13th. Please contact Arlene Paglia if you can give any time or goodies for the bake sale. All proceeds go to our Religious School.

Many thanks to Trudi Handleman, Janice Gordon, Lillian Warshawsky, Fran Field, Janet Barsky, Anita Toppston and Joyce Friedman for their tireless help in hosting the Kiddish Luncheon for Rabbi Noble. Sisterhood’s financial contribution to the temple supports our annual scholar-in-residence.
