Landscaping Plan - April 1999

Good News! Great News!

This small drawing represents a magnificent and enduring landscape plan which has been given to our congregation in loving memory of Emanuel Blaugrund. This gift from his children, Cliff and Nancy Blaugrund, Lee Blaugrund, and Linda and Carl Alongi, has been adopted by the congregation as our plan to beautify, restore, and enhance the grounds of Congregation Albert.

Also in loving memory of their father, the children of Emanuel Blaugrund have given a gift of $50,000 to fund several phases of the landscaping plan. You are all invited to join us on Sunday, April 11th, at the temple. Please arrive by10:30 AM, and plan to stay until noon. There will be a ceremony to thank the family, some refreshments, and an opportunity to do a little gardening. You will also have a chance to talk with the landscape architect, G. Robert Johns, ASLA, who created the plan, and see the full-sized, color drawing which is represented by this small black and white one. It is our intention to "kick-off" the landscape project with some "hands-in-the-dirt" activities. (Through volunteer effort, we will be able to stretch landscape dollars)

I am looking forward to seeing many of you on the 11th dressed in your very best gardening work clothes!
