Social Action - March 1999

The Social Action Committee’s purpose is "to provide opportunities for congregants to practice the concepts of Torah and Tikun Olam in our community and throughout the world, and to educate on social and environmental issues."

The core committee is made up of a fine group of individuals who meet periodically to ensure on-going projects are running smoothly, and to evaluate and nurture new ideas which eventually take a life of their own. We invite new committee members to join the core team, and we encourage everyone to contact us if you have an idea for a social action project.

If you prefer not to deal with the administrative planning of the core group, but prefer to roll up your sleeves and do social action activities, consider any one of these endeavors:

For more information on any of the above projects, or to suggest a new idea. call Michelle Fromm-Lewis or Judy Smith.
