Evening Adult Hebrew Classes
- Spring Term 1999

Introduction to Prayerbook Hebrew
This course is designed for the person who has little or no
experience with Hebrew. Through a combination of phonetic reading
and recognition of basic vocabulary words, you will learn to
decode Hebrew words and recognize the basic meaning of important
siddur words. If you have always wanted to be able to follow the
service in Hebrew, this course is for you!
Mondays 6:30-8 p.m. January 11 - March 29
Introduction to Biblical Hebrew
This course is designed for the person who has completed
Introduction to Prayerbook Hebrew and who wants to gain knowledge
of the basic vocabulary and grammar of the Bible. If you are
studying for the Anshei Mitzvah class or have always wanted to
begin to follow the Torah readings in Hebrew this class is for
you!
Tuesdays 7-8 p.m. January 12 - March 30
Continuing Biblical Hebrew
This course is designed for students who have taken at least
1 class of Continuing Adult Hebrew or Introduction to Biblical
Hebrew. We will continue with Biblical Grammar and Biblical
vocabulary and will read from Biblical text throughout the
course.
Tuesdays 8-9 p.m. January 12 - March 30
Costs:
$25 members, $40.00 non-members.
A small book or copy fee may be assessed.
