Mitzvah Day - December 1998

Congregation Albert's second annual Mitzvah Day is planned for Sunday, May 2, 1999. As many of you know, this is a congregation wide community service day.

Our first Mitzvah Day was a great success. We had almost 300 volunteers reach out with helping hands to perform mitzvot at a variety of local agencies. These agencies included All Faiths Receiving Home, Habitat for Humanity, St. Martin's Hospitality Center, Roadrunner Food Bank, New Day Shelters, Children's Hospital and many others.

The Mitzvah Day Committee encourages everyone to put May 2 on your calendars now and think about how we as a congregation can make a difference in our greater community. Look for more details on Mitzvah Day in next month's bulletin.
