A Message from CyberSpace - December 1998
It gives me great pleasure to announce that Congregation Albert now has a presence in CyberSpace with both a Web Site and an Email distribution list. At our last Town Meeting, I offered to create and host a Congregation Albert Web Site at no charge to the congregation. Diane Palley to created the original graphics and I created the content and organization.
On October 21, the site was opened at http://www.lsmarketing.com/congalbert and we've been getting a steady stream of visitors ever since. If you are connected to the Internet, please visit the site at your earliest opportunity and send me feedback via Email at sliebman@lsmarketing.com.
Our web site is already linked to the UAHC and the JFGA, as well as to the main L&S Marketing web site. Ultimately, it can (and will) contain anything we want. For now, it has the full content of our Bulletin and announcements plus other material have been able to find.
Our Email distribution list has been operating for a few months and currently has almost 150 members. Using this list, I can contact a large number of people in a matter of minutes. Compared to a traditional telephone tree, this is both faster and easier. The list has been used to notify congregants of sad events such as the death of Rabbi Shor as well as quickly getting donations for things like computers, televisions and VCRs.
I urge everyone with an Email address to subscribe. If you don't like it, you can always have your address removed. To join, please send an Email message to CongAlbert@lsmarketing.com with the subject CA LIST SUBSCRIBE. In the body of the message, please include your name and Email address. When you subscription is added, you will receive a confirmation with detailed instructions on how to modify or remove your listing in the future.
I'm very excited about helping Congregation Albert move into Cyberspace, especially since we have been able to do it without spending a single penny of temple funds. If you haven't joined us yet, please do. If you are already taking part, thank you.
Shalom,
Sheldon Liebman
